U.S. automotive sales boosting car carriers

When times are good, what do people tend to do? They may relocate from state to state, province to province, due to a promotion or better job. Finally having saved up enough money, a family may seek better schools for their children. Such instances often require a car carrier service, like Car Couriers Inc. When the economy is booming and people are happy, they want to make big moves. Car carriers thrive in this kind of atmosphere. They can also thrive in a less than stellar economy.

Although the global economy, for the most part, is terribly rocky, with protests and riots happening in countries like Brazil, Greece and Turkey, U.S. automakers are nevertheless having a great year and light-vehicle sales are expected to be the best since 2007. When sales are good for automakers, car carriers reap the benefits and are in high demand, whether it is hiring a car carrier on both land and sea to factories building car carriers, the industry from top to bottom feels the bump.

In the article, “Car Carriers Fill Up as Global Trade Expands to Record: Freight,” Issac Arnsdorf of Bloomberg News writes, “Shares of Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA (WWASA), the biggest operator of car carriers, will gain 12 percent in 12 months in Oslo trading, the average of eight analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg shows.”

This may seem like an indecipherable language, but let’s put it this way: as U.S. imports expand, so does the car-carrier market, particularly in terms of seaborne shipments. According to analyst Marius Magelie, “Right now, the U.S. is the most important thing for the car-carrier market because of what’s going on in Europe.” Since the bailout, companies like General Motors and Chrysler have experienced a surge and are shipping vehicles left and right. This is great news for car carriers and, perhaps a sign that the global economy is slowly improving. What do you think?

Ultimately, when people and companies are using car carriers, for whatever reason, it is usually a sign that the economy is improving or is in good shape. Car carriers connect people and places. In some ways, they are the glue that holds the globe together. When you need a car courier service in Canada,  Car Couriers Inc. is here for you!
